Located in Maricopa County, and only 15 miles east of Phoenix, Mesa covering an area of 132 square miles is one of the nation’s fastest growing cities. The third largest city in Arizona and the 38th largest in the country, Mesa provides the advantage of living in a thriving metropolis while residents may enjoy the feel of a suburban slower paced environment. This combination makes the setting of an ideal place to live, work and play.

The City of Mesa’s decision to add much needed shade structures to its city parks will give even more advantages to this attractive and beautiful city providing sun protection structures to its residents and ensuring that children’s risk to skin cancer is reduced.

Shade structures for playgrounds and sports amenities will bring added amenities to the already well supported park atmosphere that caters to athletes both young and old. Mesa Park and Recreation department also host a diversity of special events and community festivals throughout the year, and the ever popular Chicago Cubs Spring Training baseball.
